The specific energy density of battery cells, depending on chemistry:

  • Lead Acid (PbSO) = 40Wh/kg
  • NiCd (Nickel Cadmium / NiOOH) = 60 Wh/kg
  • NiMh (Nickel Metal Hydride / NiOOH) = 90Wh/kg
  • LTO (Lithium Titanium Oxide / Li4Ti5O12) = 80Wh/kg.
  • LPF (Lithium Iron Phosphate / LiFePO4) = 115 Wh/kg.
  • LMO (Lithium Ion Manganese Oxide / LiMn2O4) = 140Wh/kg.
  • NMC (Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide / LiNiMnCoO2) = 180Wh/kg. 
  • LCO (Lithium Cobalt Oxide / LiCoO2) = 180Wh/kg.
