Battery Testing Chart
Test date: April 2017.
Subject: Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA 3.6V 3500mAh 10A Lithium-ion battery cell.
The tests have been performed under certain battery stress applied conditions to achieve a goal of the unmanned aircraft – Project DELFTACOPTER
Result:
The Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA cells clearly show a better result than the earlier tested LG 18650HG2.
The Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA cells have a significantly higher capacity the the Extron LiPo (a Extron battery pack was used by MAVLAB in Australia, into a previously competition).
The Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA cells have a lower voltage level under load than the Extron LiPo.
The Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA cells have a lower weight than the Extron LiPo.
The Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA cells have a higher energy density than the Extron LiPo.
The energy density under typical loading is:
- LG 18650HG2: unlisted, under Extron values in MAVLAB project
- Extron LiPo: 10.79 Wh / 61 gr = 177 Wh/kg
- Panasonic Sanyo NCR18650GA Li-ion : 11.97 Wh / 47 gr. = 255 Wh/kg
